We are excited to announce the inaugural Russian Riverkeeper chef/winemaker dinner.

Featured hosts are two of our Russian River All-Stars, Dustin Valette, chef/owner of The Matheson, and Dan Kosta, owner and founder of Convene by Dan Kosta. This will be a memorable evening featuring a multi-course, springtime menu paired with exceptional wines delivered with the wit and charm of these two food and wine stars. 

Dan Kosta is a native son of Sonoma wine country. His lifelong love of food and wine led him to cofound the famous Kosta Browne Winery, where they created the finest Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs in the world.  After selling Kosta Brown in the late teens, Dan started a new project named Convene by Dan Kosta.  Here, he once again produces small lots of exceptional artisan wines that harken back to his beginnings. 

 Like Dan, Chef Dustin Valette is a tapestry of deep relationships and Russian River heritage. “Only in Healdsburg,” Chef Valette says, telling the story of how The Matheson grew from a glass of wine to a swanky, first-class restaurant on the Plaza with a rooftop bar. Dustin’s menu is an ode to micro-seasonal ingredients carefully prepared to highlight freshness and flavor.  Their exceptional food, wine, and service have earned The Matheson recognition from the Michelin Guide to cement its status among California’s most notable dining destinations.
