Monte Rio Cleanup and Restoration Day

Come help out at the Monte Rio Parks and Recreation District Community Cleanup and Restoration Day at 9 am on October 18th 2025!  Meet us at 20488 CA-116, Monte Rio, CA 95462 to check-in and get started.

We’d love to see you there! It’s a great chance to get some fresh air, connect with like-minded folks, and give back to the local environment. Bring your energy, your friends, and your love for the outdoors!

When you arrive, check in with Carol Shumate to get started raking, pulling invasive species and weeds, and trimming branches. Please wear sturdy shoes and clothing that is okay to get dirty. We appreciate the help keeping our town clean and maintained for all to enjoy! Feel free to contact Ariel Majorana with questions.

What’s Provided: Gloves, tools, and bags. We have some knee pads but please bring some if you’re interested in weed pulling and don’t want to get your knees dirty. It is recommended to bring water and a hat!

Why it matters: Our town needs your help! Your restoration helps protect wildlife and stop overgrowth before it takes over and outcrowds native plants months. We can’t wait to get out on the river with you!
