We’re pleased to announce the exciting plans we have in store for the 39th Annual Russian River Watershed Cleanup on Saturday, September 20, 2025! We’re looking forward to gathering again with you to show the river some love and care when the summer comes to a close. The September cleanup is our largest of the year and helps remove trash that accumulates over the summer months on the Russian River. This year, there will be teams across the watershed from Ukiah to Monte Rio all contributing with the shared mission of protecting our river and ocean from trash pollution. This year, we’re aiming to beat our 2024 record, when 600 volunteers removed 9.45 tons of trash and 119 tires—and we can’t do it without you.
The Russian River Watershed Cleanup will feature opportunities for your organization to help shape the future of river parks, future trails, and riparian habitat needed for healthy ecosystems. Sponsorships will help fund cleanup supplies, safety training for cleanup leaders, disposal and hazardous waste fees, and volunteer recruitment and appreciation. Funds will also help us keep your waters fishable, swimmable and drinkable for future generations.
