Ruth moved to the Bay Area in the late 1980’s, where she worked with early stage software startup companies for more than 20 years. She and her husband moved to Healdsburg in 2010, and although she still does some software consulting, she has become increasingly involved with efforts to preserve and protect the both Dry Creek Valley and the Russian River Watershed. She has also served as a board member of the Dry Creek Valley Association and as a member of the Dry Creek Valley Citizens Advisory Council.
